Cellulosic Polymers > CA

Cellulose acetate is a high performance thermoplastic that offers benefits like high transparency, impact strength, good aesthetic appeal, high dielectric constant, and ease of processing. It shows good resistance to moisture, scratches and reasonable resistance to chemicals. High processing temperatures and limited compatibility with synthetic resins restrict its usage. Applications of cellulose acetates include textiles, cellulose acetate sheets, plastics, display packaging among many others.
