PPE (Polyphenylene Ether)
Polyphenylene ether (PPE), also called polyphenylene oxide, is a linear and non-crystalline thermoplastic. In order to enhance its toughness and processability polystyrene is usually added to it. Polyphenylene ether exhibits outstanding electrical properties, dimensional stability, mechanical and dielectric strength and exceptional resistance to several chemicals (except some hydrocarbons). PPE finds uses in various applications like electrical and electronics, automotive, wire and cables, appliances and many more.
