Styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) is a hard and transparent thermoplastic which can be easily processed by conventional techniques. It is the predecessor of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene and shows good resistance to stress cracking, crazing and thermal shocks. It is also chemical, grease and food stain resistant which expands it applications in kitchen wares, basins, bathroom fittings, cosmetic packagings, etc.
