Zythane® 8080DU

Zythane 8080DU is a clear, halogen-free polyether based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Exhibits excellent abrasion resistance, toughness, clarity, UV-­stability, high elastic modulus (about 275,000 psi) and softening temperature. Possesses good oil-, fuel-, chemical- & solvent resistance, and good hydrolytic stability. Is a lightweight, durable, recyclable and naturally anti-microbial grade. Provides medium rigidity, good elasticity, color stability with UV additives and good-to-excellent transparency. Shows excellent low temperature flexibility, fatigue resistance and cut & tear resistance. Offers good over-molded adhesion to certain elastomers such as PC, ABS and PMMA. Can be processed by injection molding. Used in cell phone cases, footwear, sporting goods like sports shoes, ski boot shell & ski tips, power tools handles, plugs, terminations, animal ID tags and railroad pads.
