Hytrel® 5556

Hytrel® 5556 by Celanese is a plasticizer-free thermoplastic polyester elastomer. It is light stabilized and contains a non-discoloring stabilizer. Possesses good melt stability, excellent toughness, resilience, high resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue, flexibility at low temperatures and good retention of properties at elevated temperatures.

• Provides resistance to industrial chemicals, oils, and solvents.
• Hytrel® 5556 is suitable for processing by injection molding, thermoforming, coating, casting, film-, sheet- and other extrusion.
• It is used in demanding applications in the automotive, fluid power, electrical/electronic, consumer goods, appliance and power tool, sporting goods, furniture, industrial and off-road transportation/equipment industry.
• Mostly used in tubing, hose, film, sheeting, belting, wire, and cable.
