Hytrel® 8238

Hytrel® 8238 by Celanese is a plasticizer-free thermoplastic polyester elastomer grade. It is a light stabilized grade and contains a non-discoloring stabilizer. Exhibits high modulus, nominal hardness, good melt stability, excellent toughness and resilience. Also exhibits flexibility at low temperatures and good retention of properties at elevated temperatures. Provides high resistance to creep, impact, flex fatigue, oil, fuel and solvent. It has low fuel permeability and is suitable for processing by injection molding, thermoforming, casting, film and sheet- & other extrusion. Hytrel® 8238 is used in cubing, gears, sprockets, electrical connectors, oil field parts, wire and cable applications.
