ENGAGE™ 8003

ENGAGE™ 8003 by Dow is an easily colorable, low density/ light weight, general-purpose polyolefin elastomer (POE) grade based on ethylene octene copolymer. It is based on INSITE™ technology. It exhibits excellent melt strength & processability and lower shrinkage. It provides excellent physical properties including elasticity, toughness, low-temperature ductility and reduced surface gloss. It offers better thermal stability & heat resistance and improved impact resistance & low-temperature performance. Shows easy mixing, forming and processing on plastic or rubber equipments. It possesses flex crack resistance, higher filler loading capacity, excellent optics & compression set and high tear resistance. It is recyclable for in-process scrap re-use. It can be processed using injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming. Suitable for making tough & resilient, yet flexible products. Moreover, it can be used as a “neat” polymer or as a value-enhancing ingredient in compound formulations. Applications of ENGAGE™ 8003 include footwear foams like light and deliver excellent resiliency & cushioning to the shoe and automotive bumper fascia. It can be used in molded goods such as toys, TPO roofing and noise vibration harshness (NVH) applications.
