ENGAGE™ 8100

ENGAGE™ 8100 by Dow is an easily colorable, light weight, general-purpose polyolefin elastomer (POE) grade. It is based on ethylene octene copolymer. Exhibits excellent melt strength, low density, good processability and lower shrinkage. Also exhibits excellent physical properties including elasticity, toughness, low temperature ductility and reduced surface gloss. Offers better thermal stability, heat- and improved impact resistance. Shows easy mixing, forming and processing on plastic or rubber equipments. It is a recyclable grade and can be processed using injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming. Provides good resilience and flexibility. Used as a neat polymer and as a value-enhancing ingredient in compound formulations. ENGAGE™ 8100 is also used for footwear foams, toys, consumer and household items. Recommended for automotive bumper fascia, TPO roofing and noise vibration harshness (NVH) applications.
