ESTANE® 58246 TPU

ESTANE® 58246 TPU by Lubrizol is an aromatic polyester-based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade. Exhibits high stiffness, excellent chemical- & oil resistance, hydrolytic stability & blend-ability, low temperature flexibility, good weathering properties, resistance to wet environments and/or fungus growth, good mechanical strength & matte effect, and good heat resistance. Possesses high clarity & transparency, good abrasion-, kink-, tear-, puncture-, solvents-, grease- and high burst-pressure resistance, high tension set & grip, and low creep properties. ESTANE® 58246 TPU can be processed using flat die or cast film extrusion, and injection molding. Possible applications include wire & cable market (wire & cable jacketing, building & construction, mining, coiled or spiral cables, telephone or data cabling, military cabling, fiber optics, land & marine cable, ocean bottom & off-shore, umbilicals, automotive anti-lock braking systems (ABS), harnesses, robot or chain cable, signal cable, transportation cable, & video/audio cable), hose & tube market (air-powered tools, dental equipment, automated equipment, robotics, pneumatic tubing, hydraulic brake tubes, fire & garden hoses, transportation of food & beverages, chemical liquids & abrasive substances and vacuum cleaner hoses), film & sheet market (industrial bladders, architectural glass lamination, breathable textiles, ballistic glass, automotive interior parts, air mattresses & pillows, protective packaging, surface protection & wound care products like dressings & plasters), and conveyor, driving & timing belts (food conveyor belts for meat, bakery, fish, etc., woodpress belts, printing blanket belts & airport belts).
