Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Teknor Apex
Sarlink® TPV 3160 by Teknor Apex is a general-purpose, resilient, low density thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) grade with medium hardness and medium heat resistance. Exhibits bondability, excellent fatigue resistance, resistance to high temperatures up to 135°C, outstanding electrical properties, abrasion resistance and excellent resistance to chemicals & weather. Offers high elasticity, good moldability, processability, surface finish, adhesion and flexibility. Shows good balance of thermal, mechanical, and physical properties. It has high impact strength, low tension & compression set and good colorability. It reduces production costs due to its shorter cycle times, reduces energy needs and has very high material efficiency because of its recyclability. Sarlink® TPV 3160 can be reprocessed through several heat cycles without loss of physical properties. Suitable for processing by blow molding, extrusion, profiles and injection molding. Designed for pipe seals, weatherstripping, gaskets, diaphragms and industrial applications. Recommended for automotive exterior & interior parts and under the hood, O-rings, profiles and plugs. It can be used in grips, hose & tubes and bellows. It is RoHS compliant and shows UL94, UL QMFZ2 and UL QMFZ8 ratings.
