Viton™ VTR-9217

Viton™ VTR-9217 by Chemours is a low viscosity, low hardness, developmental precompound, fluoroelastomer (FKM) with superior extrusion processability. It contains 69% fluorine and incorporates a bisphenol cure system. It can be compounded with peroxide and coagent for dual curing. It is a copolymer of hexafluoropropylene, vinylidene fluoride and tetrafluoroethylene plus bisphenol curative chemicals and process aid. This grade has high quality, smooth extrudate surface, and appearance at thickness below 0.040 in or 1.0 mm. It exhibits excellent storage stability, excellent green strength that helps maintain extrudate shape, as well as enables drawdown to a thickness of 0.008” or 0.2 mm. It offers better compression set, good fuel permeation resistance, good adhesion and physical properties. It is processed by extrusion. Viton™ VTR-9217 is used in automotive and small engine applications, neck hose and tubing.
