ELASTOSIL® R 512/70

ELASTOSIL® R 512/70 by Wacker is a ceramifiable, peroxide crosslinking, high consistency silicone rubber. It is also available as two component system (ELASTOSIL® R 512/70-1 & ELASTOSIL® R 512/70-2) and the recommended mixing ratio is 2/3. Offers good mechanical, rheological & electrical properties and heat stability. Provides low smoke density, high insulation resistance, good mechanical stability and less corrosive or toxic gases in case of fire. ELASTOSIL® R 512/70 is suitable for processing by extrusion. Used in flame resistant cable constructions (safety cables). Meets NFC 32070 CR1, DIN 4102 part 12, UL 2196, EN 50200, IEC 60331-11.
