AKROMID® T1 ICF 30

AKROMID® T1 ICF 30 is a polyphthalamide (PPA)-based grade with a partially aromatic polyamide block in the polymer chain and reinforced with 30% carbon fiber. Provides high temperature-resistance, excellent stiffness, high toughness at low temperatures, easy processability and minimal creep. Offers high strength with low density along with good electrical shielding, high quality surface finish, favorable thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient. Exhibits improved chemical and hydrolytic resistance and lowest moisture absorption out of the three PA grades (PA 6, PA 6.6, PPA). Shows resistance towards fuels, glycol, alcohol, oils, water etc. Maintains its initial stability even at temperatures of up to 140 °C. Processed by water injection molding and used for supporting components in applications such as center consoles, activated-carbon filters, pedal systems and control module brackets.
