ecovio® T2308

ecovio® T2308 by BASF is a compound of biodegradable copolyester ecoflex® and polylactic acid (PLA). It is a printable, sealable, compostable, cast film product containing renewable resources. It possesses an opaque, semi-crystalline structure with increased impact resistance and processing behavior.
  • Offers high strength & stiffness, high (but controllable) water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), high melt strength, good processability, medium oxygen barrier (OTR) and good thermostability up to 205°C in processing.
  • ecovio® T2308 is suitable for processing by sheet extrusion process with subsequent thermoforming operation.
  • Typical applications include packaging film for cups, trays and other thermoformed containers or articles.
  • It complies with European standard DIN EN 13432, European food stuff legislation for food contact and US food & drug administration for food packaging.
  • It has a shelf life of 12 months.
