Ultramid® 8267G HS BK-102

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by BASF
Ultramid® 8267G HS BK-102 is a heat stabilized, black pigmented PA6 grade reinforced with 40% glass and mineral fiber. Possesses a balance of engineering properties in combination with excellent dimensional stability, low warp, resistance to sink-mark formation, good elastic properties, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. Retains the properties at elevated temperatures and provides good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, hardness, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, high impact resistance, good processability, good damping characteristics, good heat distortion temperature and high shock resistance even in dry state and at low temperatures. Exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants, hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, greases, oils, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Processed by injection molding. Suitable for applications such as rotors, wheels, rims, timing belt covers, automotive cooling fans and shrouds. Is compliant with RohS directive 2011/65/EC and WEEE directive 2002/96/EC.
