Ultramid® A3HG5

Ultramid® A3HG5 by BASF is a polyamide 66 reinforced with 25% glass fiber. It possesses good elastic & dielectric properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. It provides good toughness at low temperatures, hardness, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, high heat-aging resistance, very good impact strength and good processability. It exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants and hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Ultramid® A3HG5 is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. It is processed by injection molding. It is suitable for machinery components and housings. It is also used for coil formers, bearing cages and electrically insulating parts.
