Ultramid® Advanced N3HC8

Ultramid® Advanced N3HC8 by BASF is a high-performance, low-weight, long-chain polyphthalamide (PPA) reinforced with 40% carbon fiber. Provides high dimensional stability due to low water uptake, high stiffness, excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance. Exhibits electrical conductivity, good processability, high heat and abrasion resistance. Shows high strength and modulus at 80°C (conditioned) than magnesium or aluminum. Offers a safe, cost-efficient alternative for parts traditionally manufactured from metal. It is very stable after ageing at high temperatures. Ultramid® Advanced N3HC8 can be used to manufacture automotive structural parts (for body, chassis, powertrain), for pumps, fans, gears and compressors in industrial applications as well as for stable and ultra-lightweight components in consumer electronics.
