Ultramid® B3M8 (8260)

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by BASF
Ultramid® B3M8 (8260) is a black pigmented PA6 grade reinforced with 40% mineral fiber. Possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. Provides good flow, good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, hardness, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, high impact resistance, low warpage, good processability, good surface finish, good damping characteristics and high shock resistance in dry state and at low temperatures. Exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, lubricants, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Is resistant to heat, sink-mark formation, corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Processed by injection molding. Is compliant with RohS directive 2011/65/EC and WEEE directive 2002/96/EC.
