Ultramid® B3ZG4

Ultramid® B3ZG4 by BASF is an impact modified, polyamide 6 grade reinforced with 20% glass fiber. It possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. It displays high impact resistance, good processability, good damping characteristics and high shock resistance & impact strength even at dry state & low temperatures. This grade provides good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, hardness, high mechanical strength, stiffness and thermal stability. It exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants, hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. It is resistant to heat, sink-mark formation, corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. It is processed by injection molding. Ultramid® B3ZG4 is recommended for industrial housings and caps. It is compliant with RohS directive 2011/65/EC and WEEE directive 2002/96/EC.
