Ultramid® C3U

Ultramid® C3U is a polyamide 6/66 grade with improved flame retardance. Possesses good elastic properties, dimensional stability, low tendency to creep and excellent sliding friction properties. Provides good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, very good impact strength and good processability. Exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, lubricants, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Processed by injection molding. Used for impact resistant electrical insulating parts such as contact bases and plug connector strips.
