Ultramid® TG7S

Ultramid® TG7S is a heat stabilized, impact modified partially aromatic polyamide 6 reinforced with 34% glass fiber. Is toughest of all partially aromatic polyamides. Possesses good elastic, electrical and mechanical properties, high melting point, low tendency to creep and excellent sliding friction properties. Provides low shrinkage, low warpage, good toughness at low temperatures, high dimensional stability, rigidity and thermal stability, high impact strength, slow water absorption and good processability. Shows improved strength, stiffness and notched impact properties over Ultramid 8333G HI. Exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, lubricants, fuels, greases, oils, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents such as glycol, ethers, esters, organic acids and aliphatic alcohols. Is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Processed by injection molding. Used for metal replacement in North American seat cushion pan/frame applications. Recommended for automotive seating applications, automotive fan, power tools and trimmer components. Is compliant with RoHS directive 2011/65/EC and WEEE directive 2002/96/EC.
