Mvera™ B5011

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by BIO-FED
Mvera™ B5011 is a BPA- and phthalate-free biodegradable blend of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), modified polyester, and additives. It is a transparent compostable film grade. It exhibits excellent seal strength, tear and puncture toughness, balance of strength and stiffness and excellent clarity with low haze. Also exhibits good printability and has low odor levels. Is designed to process easily on conventional blown film equipment and is suitable for use in coextruded films and blends. Its blown film processing similar to LDPE/LLDPE blends and it allows significant down gauging. The material shows good compatibility to other biopolymers such as PHA, PBAT, PLA or PBS. Potential uses include industrial can liners, retail bags, organics and yard waste collection bags. Certified with Vinçotte and BPI to meet industry standards of compostability.
