Visico™ LE4421 / Visico™ LE4438 by Borealis is an environment friendly, low density polyethylene (LDPE) grade copolymerized with crosslinkable vinyl silane. Visico™ LE4421 (base material) in combination with Visico™ LE4438 (highly active catalyst masterbatch) accelerates moisture induced crosslinking reaction at ambient conditions, in sauna or in hot water. Contains antioxidant, scorch retardant additive, metal deactivator and a drying agent. Offers excellent processability, storage stability, outstanding curing rates, excellent surface finish and no volatiles. Exhibits insulation with excellent thermo-oxidative stability in contact with copper- & aluminium, smooth glossy appearance, no or little die drool and it is designed for processing by PVC/PE extrusion. Visico™ LE4421 / Visico™ LE4438 is recommended for insulation of low voltage cables for the range up to 6 kV.
