Blend of thermoplastic starch (TPS) with polyolefin's. It is compatibilized to offer a high level of mechanical strength, outstanding elongation properties and toughness. It is formulated with 50% of renewable thermoplastic starch polymer. Is suitable for a range of products manufactured by foam extrusion. Due to its high content of polyolefins the material is not a fully biodegradable polymer and is not intended for ultimate disposal in commercial composting facilities. Used in extrusion foaming of packaging shapes, extrusion foaming of sheet for packaging as well as cushioning, extruded boards for packaging and insulation applications.
