Compostable® 1010

Polylactic acid. It is starch-based and gluten-free, made from corn, tapioca and potato starches that primarily come from the American Midwest (versus oil from the Middle East). It has been designed to have an excellent balance of toughness, rigidity and processability. Can be processed on existing conventional electric and hydraulic reciprocating screw injection molding machines. Recommended for injection molding applications requiring medium flow. Used in single-use disposables as well as packaging including cups, straws, cutlery, and bags.
