Apec® 1745

Apec® 1745 by Covestro is a heat resistant polycarbonate (PC) grade with easy release. It is suitable for superheated steam sterilization up to 143°C. It is recommended for processing by injection molding. It is used in medical applications such as films for medical packaging, contact lens holders, medical vessels, safety valve for respiration aids and syringe tops. Apec® 1745 meets criteria of US Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI and is biocompatible according to many ISO 10993-1 test requirements.
