Apec® 2045 by Covestro is a biocompatible polycarbonate compound with high heat resistance and low carbon footprint. It offers durability, transparency, high optical clarity and processability. It provides superheated steam sterilization up to 143°C. It is formulated for highest curing temperatures in silicone overmolding and hot air sterilization. Apec® 2045 is designed for medical devices with molded-in seals, respiratory masks and healthcare applications. Complies with ISO 10993-1, USP Class VI and UL 94 HB flame rating.
