Makroblend® EL4000

Makroblend® EL4000 by Covestro is a semi-crystalline, flame retardant, ultra-tough blend of polycarbonate and polyester resin. It exhibits high level of chemical resistance against many of the most aggressive disinfectants, which are used more frequently to combat hospital acquired infections. Also exhibits resistance to lubricants, solvents and cleaning agents. Shows reduced susceptibility to stress cracking, great paintability, good flowability and low moisture uptake. Makroblend® EL4000 can be processed using injection molding. Applications include medical devices, equipment housings and enclosures, as it helps protect their electronics and electromechanical components in clinical settings.
