Makrolon® 2458

Makrolon® 2458 by Covestro is a low viscosity polycarbonate (PC) grade. It is suitable for EtO and steam sterilization at 121°C. It exhibits easy release, high heat resistance, good toughness, good dimensional stability, high creep modulus and good electrical insulation properties. It offers high-flow, good transparency, high impact strength, chemical and hydrolysis resistance. It is processed by injection molding. Makrolon® 2458 is recommended for medical applications like in epinephrine auto-injector. It is biocompatible according to ISO 10993-1 test requirements.
