Makrolon® 3158

Makrolon® 3158 by Covestro is a high viscosity polycarbonate (PC) grade. It is suitable for ETO and steam sterilization at 121°C. It exhibits easy release, high heat resistance, good toughness, good dimensional stability, high creep modulus and good electrical insulation properties.
  • It possesses good transparency, high impact strength and chemical- and hydrolysis resistance.
  • It provides durability, efficient reusability and energy and CO2 emission savings.
  • It is suitable for processing by injection molding.
  • Makrolon® 3158 is recommended for medical applications.
  • It is biocompatible according to ISO 10993-1 test requirements.
