Makrolon® Rx1805

Makrolon® Rx1805 by Covestro is a high viscosity, polycarbonate (PC) grade. It is suitable for sterilization with high-energy radiation. It exhibits easy release, high lipid resistance, high heat resistance, good toughness, good dimensional stability, high creep modulus and good electrical insulation properties.

It possesses good transparency, gamma stability, good strength, high impact strength and chemical- & hydrolysis resistance.
It provides durability, efficient reusability and energy and CO₂ emission savings.
It is processed by injection molding.
Makrolon® Rx1805 is used in transparent parts of medical devices like infusion valve connector.
It is biocompatible according to ISO 10993-1 test requirements and complies with USP Class VI.
