EcoPaXX® Q-HG10

EcoPaXX® Q-HG10 by Envalior is a heat-stabilized, 50% glass fiber-reinforced, long aliphatic polyamide PA4-10 based on castor oil. It is processed by injection molding. It is particularly suitable for use in high-tech applications due to its low moisture absorption and excellent mechanical properties. It is less damaging to the environment and has the potential to be completely green. EcoPaXX® Q-HG10 has a high melting point of about 250°C (the highest of all biological nylons), and a high rate of crystallization (faster and more efficient production). It possesses stiffness (highest among all long-chain polyamides) and toughness, especially against bending. It is also resistant to chemicals and hydrolysis. It is used in charge air cooler caps and crankshaft covers of automotives. It allows for lightweight- (40-50% lighter) and more cost-effective solutions than metal at the cold side. It allows for reliable solutions due to good compatibility with FKM/LSR rubbers and good creep & fatigue resistance. Also, used in thermal management applications and other structural parts.
