ELIX ABS HH3114 by Elix Polymers is a water insoluble, white to slightly yellowish, very high heat resistance ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) copolymer grade modified with poly SMI (styrene-co-maleimide). Exhibits very low emissions & odor, very high Vicat softening point and better dimensional stability under heat. Offers number of processing advantages including excellent processability and high flow, resulting in competitive cycle times. Also offers less mold deposits leading to less mold cleaning, cost savings and higher productivity. It can be processed using injection mold technology with sequential controlled hot runner valve gates. Final parts made from ELIX ABS HH3114 offer weight reduction of 8% when compared to PC/ABS owing to its lower density (1.04) compared with that of PC/ABS (1.13). Suitable for roof hatch applications of automotive industry (both interior & exterior applications) including heavy duty trucks. Applications include rear light housing, sun visor, upper instrument panel parts, fans and ventilation systems.
