25% CAR by Fluorseals is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) grade, containing 75% virgin PTFE and 25% carbon coke. Exhibits excellent compression- , wear- and aging resistance, good thermal conductivity, low permeability and improved coefficient of thermal expansion when combined with ceramic. Is an electrically insulating and non-inflammable grade, offering biocompatibility, low resistance to radiations (gamma rays), good aging stability, weatherability and heat insulation. Designed for molded and extruded semi-finished products. 25% CAR is widely used in seal applications such as piston rings for dry compressors, bearings and grooved mechanical support. Complies with FDA Regulations 21 CFR Ch. 1 § 177.1550 (a) (1) and (b)-Perfluorocarbon Resins.
