35% CAR by Fluorseals is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) grade, containing 65% virgin PTFE and 35% soft carbon. Exhibits excellent resistance to wear- , compression- and aging, good thermal conductivity and low permeability. Is an electrically insulating and non-inflammable grade, offering biocompatibility, low resistance to radiations (gamma rays), good aging stability, weatherability and heat insulation. 35% CAR is widely used in seal applications such as piston rings for dry compressors, bearings and grooved mechanical support.
