GAZOLE™ 5200P

GAZOLE™ 5200P is an ultra high performance, semi-crystalline, unreinforced PBI poly (2, 5 benzimidazole) grade. Exhibits excellent electrical properties, excellent chemical resistance, high abrasion resistance and high thermal- & chemical-stability. Has very high limiting oxygen index (LOI), heat deflection temperature (HDT) and is recognized for its non-flammable characteristics. Delivers extended high temperature mechanical performance and enables low out gassing in vacuum (dry material). Also exhibits short-term resistance to temperatures up to +350°C and high permanent service temperature up to +250°C. Provides low shrinkage, dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, has low tendency to creep, exceptional dielectric and mechanical strength. Enables low mold wear, low corrosion, and tight thickness tolerance control. Offers the high heat resistance as well as mechanical property retention over 310°C, low coefficient of friction & high wear resistance properties. Is suitable for processing by compression molding. Applications include electrical & electronic devices such as connectors, capacitors, sensors, bobbins and switches.
