ENVIPLAST®

ENVIPLAST® is a bio-based polymer compound made with a blend of industrial starch (corn, cassava, etc.), derivatives of vegetable oil and other naturally abundant materials. Is a slightly yellowish pellet, without polyolefin plastic, even though the appearance and manufacturing process are similar to that of conventional plastic bags. Possesses sustainable life-cycle, good oxygen barrier and good antistatic properties and requires low cost process and production. Is harmless when consumed by animals and safe for plant growth. Requires no end of life processing facilities as it is finally back to nature in the form of CO2, H2O and biomass. Is consumable by macro and micro-organism, sinks and weaken in water, thus not causing land or marine environmental pollution. Shows recyclability only with paper products not with any other plastic. Used in shopping bag, garbage bag, laundry bag, disposable apron, electronic wrapping material, spare parts wrapping material for both dry and lubricated, animal waste bags and multipurpose disposable packaging. Passes the Assessment of Acute Oral Toxicity by WIL Research, The Netherlands.
