KURARAY POVAL™ 17-94 NA by Kuraray is a water soluble, partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH). Exhibits uniform chemical structure and greater adhesion. It influence not only particle size distribution but also the application properties such as viscosity, stability to stirring, the freeze/thaw stability, pigment compatibility, electrolyte stability and open time of the emulsion. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is used in remoistenable adhesives. KURARAY POVAL™ 17-94 NA is used as protective colloids in the polymerization of polymer emulsions. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
