KURARAY POVAL™ 4-88 LA by Kuraray is a water soluble, polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. Exhibits low ash content, good penetration capacity, good cohesion and good adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It influences the rheology of polymer emulsions including particle size distribution, viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/ thaw stability, pigment compatibility and electrolyte stability. It can be used as a protective colloid, binder in sizes and emulsion polymerization aid. KURARAY POVAL™ 4-88 LA has a shelf life of 12 months.
