KURARAY POVAL™ 49-88 S2 is polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) manufactured by Kuraray by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. Possesses a uniform chemical structure and greater adhesion. It serves as a water soluble protective colloid in the emulsion polymerization. It influences the rheology of polymer emulsions including particle size distribution, viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/ thaw stability, pigment compatibility and electrolyte stability. KURARAY POVAL™ 49-88 S2 has a shelf life of 12 months.
