KURARAY POVAL™ L-508

KURARAY POVAL™ L-508 by Kuraray is a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is water soluble and is used as a protective colloid in emulsion polymerization. It has the ability to anchor to the surface of the polymer particles. It influences the rheology of polymer emulsions including particle size distribution, viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/ thaw stability, pigment compatibility and electrolyte stability. KURARAY POVAL™ L-508 has a shelf life of 12 months.
