Pocan® TP 555-912

Pocan® TP 555-912 by LANXESS is an easy to process polycyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate (PCT) grade. It is an alternative to high-melting polyamides. Exhibits good mechanical properties, high light reflection (keeping brightness losses to a minimum) and virtually no yellowing on exposure to light/ heat. Possesses good flow properties and very high temperature of deflection under load. Easily withstands temperatures of 240 to 280 °C like those commonly encountered in lead-free vapor phase soldering. Also, it can be injection molded in a wide processing window despite their high filler content. Suitable for lead-free vapor phase soldering which is used frequently to connect LED chips electrically. Applications of Pocan® TP 555-912 include durable LED (light-emitting diode) chips, housings and sockets that can be designed with thin walls and slim dimensions.
