TIVAR® MD

TIVAR® MD by Quadrant is a grey colored, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) with extremely high degree of polymerization containing a metal detectable (MD) additive. Delivers the necessary MD level for particles as small as 3mm x 3mm x 3mm. Provides excellent toughness, high impact strength, improved wear and abrasion resistance when compared with TIVAR 1000. Used in the food processing and packaging industries where it can easily be traced by the conventional metal detection systems installed to detect contamination of the foodstuffs. TIVAR® MD complies with FDA and EU Directive 2002/72 EC standards.
