LUBMER™ LS4140

LUBMER™ LS4140 by Mitsui Chemicals is a ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) grade. It is a self-lubricating, halogen- and PFOA- free, food contact acceptable grade. Exhibits low friction and good resistance to wear and chemicals including alcohols, alkalis, oils, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric and phosphoric acid. It effectively improves sliding property in low dosage, better than PTFE or molybdenum disulfide. It also improves abrasion resistance for higher durability and robust material. LUBMER™ LS4140 is designed for processing by injection molding, extrusion or insert mold for grease-less, light weight gears and bearings. Applicable materials for modified LUBMER™ include PA6, PA66, Aromatic PA, POM, PBT, PET, PC, ABS and PPS. Provides low water absorption, good moldability, good dimensional stability and electrical insulating properties, high mechanical properties and innovative processability. It contributes to increased production efficiency and total cost reduction in a co-extrusion process. Complies with UL 94 HB Flame Rating. LUBMER™ LS4140 can be used for the replacement for PTFE or as a tribology modifier of engineering plastics.
