Mitsui TPX

TPX™ MX002 is a low modulus, low density, heat resistant polymethylpentene by Mitsui Chemicals. Exhibits gas permeability, low refractive index, low dielectric property and high insulation properties equivalent to fluororesin. Possible applications include food containers, release film for FPC, rubber hoses and release paper for synthetic leather. It is also suitable for animal cage, resin modification, LED mold, experimental apparatuses and hollow fiber. It boasts superior releasability and is one of the lightest polymer materials among thermoplastic plastics. Offers excellent chemical & steam resistance and high durability against acid, alkali and alcohol. It is applicable for processing by extrusion coating, direct blow molding and extrusion by fiber spinning. Recommended for injection molding as well as extrusion processing by T-Die casting, profile, mandrel and pipe. TPX™ MX002 shows excellent transparency equivalent to glass and acrylic as well as high melting point and can be used at high temperature.
