UNITRON® PPS

UNITRON® PPS is a brittle, semi-crystalline polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) grade by Nytef Plastics. Exhibits excellent strength, rigidity, toughness, low moisture absorption rate and low coefficient of thermal expansion. Offers dimensional stability, superior electrical properties, chemical resistance and stability at elevated temperatures. Most acids, strong bases, fuels and even steam has virtually no effect on the physical properties. It can be easily machined & fabricated and is available in a full range of heavy cross section rod, sheet and tubular bar sizes. UNITRON® PPS is used in pump, valve & compressor manufacturing, medical equipment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, aircraft & aerospace, electrical & electronic products, semiconductor manufacturing, petroleum exploration and refining industries. Sample applications include compressor vanes, manifolds, valves, insulators, connectors, test sockets, liquid chromatography components, down hole drill & pump components, CMP clamp rings and sensor components. Complies with UL 94 HB flame rating.
