Vyloamide®

Vyloamide® by Toyobo is polyamide resin. It is made from castor oil plant beans. As a result of the usage of this plant-derived material, products made from this plastic can be recycled in a short period of time, in comparison with similar petroleum-based plastics. Also, since the water-absorption ratio is only one-third that of previous polyamide resins. It can be used in applications where other polyamides cannot be used because they tend to lose dimensional stability when dampened. Vyloamide® is used in electric and electronic parts as well as automotive materials where heat resistance and dimensional stability are required. It has already been adopted for use in certain mobile phone parts.
