THRIVE™ 20DXR235SB6W

THRIVE™ 20DXR235SB6W by Weyerhaeuser Company is a cost effective, recycled polypropylene (PP) resin (75.5%) reinforced with cellulose fiber (20%). Offers good fiber dispersability and benefits such as lower part mass, improved manufacturing efficiency, less energy to produce finished parts and full design flexibility. Also offers improved molding cycle time (up to 35% faster), reduced mass (cellulose fiber is 40% less dense), less abrasion, reduced wear & tear, comparable mechanical properties, lower finished composite density & better surface bonding when compared to composites reinforced with short glass fibers. Shows superior mold flow in large components, strong knit-line strength in multigated components, fast filling of molds to optimize production, better performance at higher temperatures, higher modulus, improved chemical resistance & lower wall thickness when compared to styrenic and olefinic compounds. Contains compatibilizer and available as pellets. THRIVE™ 20DXR235SB6W is suitable for processing by injection molding. Possible applications include automotive interior part, industrial bracket, office furniture leg end-cap, industrial pump housing assembly, food industry spatula, household goods & kitchenware, small & large appliances, industrial goods, consumer personal goods, building & construction goods applications.
