3D printing parts manufacturing is definitely coming of age in a highly disruptive to traditional manufacturing way. Global expenditures on desktop and industrial printers will grow from $12 billion in 2016 to $25 billion by 2020.
Stated simply, 3D printing is now easier to implement on the manufacturing floor alongside traditional industrial processes in an increasingly cost effective manner. Over the next 3-5 years it will cross the threshold rom advanced to conventional and enter mainstream manufacturing.
