Can PVC survive after concerns on phthalates?

SpecialChem / May 1, 2014

The move towards phthalate-free polymers keeps going on in the Medical Industry, as well as in many other sectors. Started more than a decade ago, it is now a matter of fact "phthalate-free" has become a marketing claim itself and not a technical or customer-specific requirement anymore. Denmark was one of the first countries in the world (not to say the very first) to restrict then ban phthalates on selected uses. This action plan was implemented in the country in July 1999.
